Database Connection Management

Bulk Mailer's databases section stores database connection information.

If your contact lists are stored at remote server or in access database, you can easily get access to them with the help of Databases tool.

Databases tool makes it possible to set the connection to the database only once and then use it lately.

Open Data Source tab on the main form to set the connections. To create a new connection click New button. You will see the Database Source Wizard window:

The Database Source Wizard window has following buttons:

  • Connect - To create a new database connection.
  • Edit - To edit the database connection.
  • Delete - To delete the database connection.
  • View - To preview the list of tables of current database.

Follow the instructions to create a new database connection:

  1. Click Connect button on the toolbar. The first step of Databases Connection Wizard window will appear.

  2. On first step select the provider from the list. Click the Next button.

  3. Specify the path to the database. Click the Next button.
  4. Preview the list of database's tables. You will see the fields of each selected table on the bottom screen. Click the Next button.
  5. Enter a database connection name on last step of wizard. Click the Finish button.
