EMP - Enterprise Anti-Spam Filter - Extensible Messaging Platform (EMP) is a spam-filtering firewall server application. It protects Exchange Server, Domino, GroupWise, or any SMTP mail server from Internet spam, e-mail-borne viruses (including dangerous autolaunch viruses), and other objectionable content. It filters mail using complex contextual patterns (not simple keyword lists). The use of contextual patterns results in high success and extremely low false-positive rates as well as catching cloaked spam other products can't identify. Additional features include automatic XML extraction/database insertion, optional POP3 retrieval, comprehensive user-definable contextual filtering, content-based message routing, and developer API. The license includes a JAK filter capsule, so it's armed to block spam right out of the box. It installs as a Windows Service or UNIX server. New features in version 5.0 include the new CPE-2 pattern engine, an integrated J2EE Web server, the SQL database, Web-based reporting, and Spamhaus SBL support.
